ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Sequoia Echo is a youth reading initiative created by Sequoia Media to encourage students to share books they truly enjoy and to express their ideas with confidence.
The program invites young readers from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds to introduce meaningful books through short presentations recorded in a professional studio environment.
By combining storytelling, public speaking, and media production, Sequoia Echo helps students develop:
• confidence in communication
• critical thinking through reading
• cross-cultural awareness
• presentation and media skills
More than a video series, Sequoia Echo is a growing platform for youth voices shaped through reading.
PROGRAM VISION
Sequoia Echo aims to become a multicultural youth reading network connecting students, schools, and communities across North America.
Through ongoing participation and collaboration, the program will continue expanding in the following directions:
• building a youth reading recommendation community
• developing Sequoia Echo Book Ambassadors
• supporting multilingual storytelling
• partnering with schools and educators
• producing youth-centered reading features and documentaries
We believe reading is one of the most powerful ways young people discover their voice and their place in the world.
INSIDE THE STUDIO
Sequoia Echo is recorded in a professional studio environment designed to support young speakers as they develop confidence on camera.
Students participate in a structured recording experience that introduces them to media production, storytelling techniques, and public presentation skills.
Each session becomes both a reading experience and a creative milestone.
PARTICIPATION INVITATION
Become a Sequoia Echo Reader
We welcome students from all backgrounds to join Sequoia Echo and share the books they love.
Participants may present books in English, Chinese, or other languages.
